Minu nimi on Liis.

My name is Liis. I'm 28 years old and work as a nurse at Pärnu Hospital. My days are often long and exhausting, but I have a special way to relax and feel good – my favorite comfort food.
When I was little, my grandmother often made a special dish – mashed potatoes with ground meat gravy. I remember how she would peel the potatoes and mash them. Then she would brown the ground meat in a pan and add cream, onions, and spices. The kitchen would fill with a wonderfully warm and homely aroma.
Now, after a tough day at work, I love making that same dish. I come home, take off my white hospital uniform, and change into something comfortable. Then I head to the kitchen. Even after a full day's work, this activity always gives me energy – cooking and preparing mashed potatoes with ground meat gravy just like my grandmother did.
When the food is ready, I sit on the couch, grab a spoon, and savor the taste. The mashed potatoes are always so soft and creamy, and the gravy is rich and flavorful. This meal takes me back to my childhood, reminding me of my grandmother and her love.
It nourishes not just my body but also my soul. It's my little ritual on tough days that helps me relax and feel happy. And of course, I love sharing it with my loved ones. They know that when I treat them to this meal, it's my way of showing how much I care about them.
