Formation of the Future Tense
The Italian future tense (futuro semplice) is formed by adding specific endings to the infinitive stem of the verb:
- For -are verbs: remove -are, add -erò, -erai, -erà, -eremo, -erete, -eranno
- For -ere and -ire verbs: remove -e/-i, add -ò, -ai, -à, -emo, -ete, -anno
Examples:
- parlare (to speak) → parlerò, parlerai, parlerà, parleremo, parlerete, parleranno
- credere (to believe) → crederò, crederai, crederà, crederemo, crederete, crederanno

Time Expressions
Common time expressions used with the future tense include:

- l'anno prossimo (next year)
- fra/tra + time period (in + time period)
Future Perfect
The future perfect (futuro anteriore) is formed using the future of "essere" or "avere" + past participle. It expresses actions that will be completed before a future point in time.
